My sister and I own a condo that is paid for.(inheritence).We have a verbal agreement to split all the bills including the property tax.We have lived here for 4 years now and she has paid nothing.she is taking advantage of me.She is mean and nasty and won't get a job or do anything but sleep and eat.Can I somehow take her name off the deed?Why should she get half of this condo if she doesn't pay her share.I would never kick her out but I want to do some remodeling and she says no to everything just to be mean.She does not seem to care about this place or anything.I tried to help her but she is so mean.I'm tired of babying her.

This sounds like a real personal problem. You could sue her for her share of the condo dues and taxes, but it really sounds to me like you are stuck. You have no possibility of taking her off the deed.

She owns half the property, and jharris is right, you can't get her off the deed. But her ownership is subject to her half of the expenses of the property. Show her the bills for the taxes, utilities, etc. If she doesn't or can't pay up, decided whether it's worth it to you to sue her and register a judgment against her interest in the property.
