ive been doing handyman work with no licenses although i did check into getting licenses. could not afford at present time. one of my clients that belong to a realtor group which my work did not go through the group. this property i was working at is a rental property for the owners i damage my left heel and needed surgery . farmers ins sent me papers with claim no. and they say there still investigatin accident .this homeowners insurance should cover medical bills is this correct.

No one here can tell you what an insurance company will do or decide.

File the papers, keep your fingers crossed, and you'll have to wait for the insurance company to decide.
 
Some homeowners believe it is safe to use an uninsured contractor, handyman or laborer, assuming that any damages to property or injuries incurred would be covered under their homeowner's insurance policy. However, this isn't the case. Most homeowner policies require that any work to the property be done by licensed contractors; coverage is often specifically excluded for damages done by & injuries to "bootleg" contractors.

Therefore, as noted my army judge, we don't know if the ins. co. will pay. You'll have to file the claim & see. Good luck.

(If the ins. co. doesn't pay, sometimes the injured person will sue the homeowner for medical bills - they may or may not win in court.)
