Hospital Negligence

My son was born 3 months premature in Memphis, Tennessee. He ended up with a staph infection which affected his hip bone but we were not told about it. He now has a two inch leg length difference because he has no hip ball in his left hip and we were told by Cardinal Glennon Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri that the staph infection was the cause. Could we take legal action against the hospital he was born in?
