I have a customer who is an educator. They are working with a lending company to offer financing for the continuing educational courses.
They want to have the lenders application integrated into their website.

What should they know about protecting the consumers who visit their website and use the integrated into their site?

Are there disclaimers & disclosures required since it's on their site?

Is there a place where I can find information to provide them for this?
I'm in digital marketing and am working to build their site.

They need an attorney to help set up the relationship with the vendor (agreements, etc) and to write the language needed to protect them (arm's length transaction is what I am thinking but not sure it is the applicable concept, but something such as that where there is no pressure applied to students to use that specific lender) to put on your website. They might incur liability if they recommend a specific lender. This is not a DIY project for a website builder.

I've done both professionally - website development and the legal agreements to which you're referring. @hrforme is absolutely right in saying that this is absolutely not something you should entangle yourself. The legal issues an attorney would cover include compliance as well as liability and risk apportionment. I'm sure that the lending / financing company has its own agreements for their services but review is something that should only be handled by a licensed and experienced attorney. After all, in most instances you wouldn't expect a personal injury attorney to build websites either! :)
