My jurisdiction is: Uk

hi
My late mother left me her house in her will but she made a statement in her will that her partner as long as he lived can reside there.
So the house is in trust at the moment.

Is thier any way to release funds?

can I sell on to an equity firm ?

Or any other options that may be available

I know I may lose a bit but might get some of it back in intrest as this could go on for years as it already has.
Just been made redundant and need to be able to pay my morgage or lose the my own house.

You can sell it. Whoever buys it will be subject to the same restriction, which will depress the price. Or you could buy the partner out so you can give clear title.

You could also mortgage the house to get some cash.

thanks for the reply
proably did explain it well the house is in the hands of the trustee (solicitors)
who my mum made the will with.
So untill he dies it will remain in thei hands of the trustee could I approach them to do as you .
