house insurance

my mom is deceased. i lived there with her before she passed and i continued to live there after she passed. i kept her house insurance up. the house caught on fire. the insurance company said the check will be issued in my name and my mother name. since the check has my mother name on it do i have to share the insurance money with the other sibling? her estate is still open.
