This is a strange one....
I lost my house to a tax lien in early '95. That was a very difficult time for me.
I was given $10,000 for my troubles and I vacated the premises.
Just this past week I had reason to request proof that I did indeed lose my house.
The copy of the transferred deed shows that I supposedly received $35,000.
What a shock when I saw that.
My signature is on the 2nd page ...what can I do?
Is it possible that the amount was put in later and I was oblivious to the fact that it was missing?
Like I said... a bad time for me. However I think I would remember that amount...it would have made what happened after losing the house easier.
I ended up in a homeless shelter. Could have used that money to live off of.
Any help or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.
