Housing Contract

I lived in a sorority last year for one semester of schooling. The financial adviser in charge of the house was supposed to meet with me to sign a housing contract and never did. I still owe some of the money and they are now threatening to send me to collections. Without a contract/lease, can they do that?

If you are talking about the money to pay off living there, then yes they can do that. Though you did not sign the contract, your actions indicate that you intended to abide by its terms (i.e. by living there).
