I live in Florida, USA, and I was recently working for a friend at her car wash. I have multiple sclerosis, and have trouble working regular jobs. She had to move to Oklahoma recently, and convinced me to buy the business. It happened very quickly, and she told me the business came with over 200 clients, a vaccuum, a wax machine, and a few other small items, along with a 2 year non compete. She sold it to me for 5000.00 at 100.00 a week. We had a verbal agreement that if I decided to back out within 3 months, I could. Now she says she never said that. She did not provide 200 clients, it was more like 20. I feel like she took advantage of my medical condition, which makes me unable to understand things completely. I don't want any troubles, but I feel like she did not hold up her end of the agreement. Is there any way to get out of this agreement? Also she had the two of us sign the sale agreement in front of a notary, however neither her nor I showed any form of identification, does that make any difference? Please help.

If you lack capacity, the contract is void. You will need a medical doctor to testify. Only a local attorney can tell you it there is another way to terminate based on the actual contract.
