I was caught shoplifting at a Macy's. It was $128 worht of merchandise. I am very ashamed and disgusted with my behavior. I go to court tomorrow. I was not arrested... I'm not sure what to do and say tomorrow. I want to accept responsablitly for my actions. I have never done anything like this before, I haven't even had so much as a speeding ticket. I am 21. A lawyer my husband knows told me to plea "no contest" I'm not sure what to do. Any help and adivse would be greatly appreciated.

It depends on what you want.
If your innocent you plead not guilty
If you want it over and dont care about sentence you plead guilty
If you want to reduce damages to yourself you plead not guilty and talk to your Attorney about plea deal
If plea deal is arranged and your Lawyer advises it you plead no contest
