My 19 year old daughter has a history of violence and abuse. At 16 she assaulted me and vandalized our home. She spent 3 weeks in Juvenile Detention. We went to Counseling for 2 years but she has not changed.
She moved in with her boyfriend at 18 and it did not work out. We took her back aftera year and made her sign a contract with the household rules. After 2 weeks the outbursts of anger began. We called the police. The cop said in front of her"since she is sill in high school (12th grade) you need to support her and you better work it out with her" Now she rules the house and says "you can't throw me out". We called the local police and the officer said the cop was wrong. She is 19 and and adult(does not matter if she is in h.s.) and you can request she move out and arrest her for trespassing.
By the way she is failing English and Science and will most likely not graduate. The school said she can repeat the 12th grade. She likes this idea since she believes that we will have to keep her even longer.
What can we legally do to get her out? What if another cop agrees with the first? What if the Court says go to Counseling again? Living with her is agony.
Please help!
