Drug Crimes, Substance Abuse How to avoid felony or prison time.

I'm charged with possession of controlled substance (xanax) with intent to distribute, tampering with evidence, and poss. Of marijuana. My arraignment date is oct 8. My boyfriend was arrested on seperate charges and In the police car my boyfriend repeatedly said the Xanax were his. I am shopping for a private attorney now. Is there any chance I will avoid going to prison? How should I go about doing this?

There is always a chance, but nobody can predict the future for you.
Hopefully you have not said anything that implicated yourself.
All you have to do is keep quiet and speak only to your attorney.
The way to avoid felonies and prison time is to not engage in criminal activity or associate with those who do.
