How to contiune with a divorce?

My husband and I filed for divorce 12 months ago. We then decided to try and fix things. But now we are wanting to continue with the divorce and we were told to file a status report with the court indicating the reason for inactivity. How do I go abot filing a letter to the court to continue with the divorce??
