i got a ticket several days ago,
The cop write down on the ticket
"Did unlawfully comitt the offence:
Failing to stop at red light. "
The "failing to stop at red light" is written by hand.

But in the following section:
"contrary to Section:", which is the section on the motor vechele regulation.
He wrote the code, which i check the official document, is correspond to :

"yellow or amber light - all traffic facing this signal shall stop before
entering an intersection at the place marked or the nearest side of the
crosswalk but not past the signal unless the stop cannot be made in safety;

I will be 100% plead NOT guilty, but the question is how can i defend myself,
The cop even can't get the accusement right. i have no way to find out the right defense stragety.

Isn't that unfair, can i ask the judge dismiss the case base on this?

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Red Light Ticket

Yellow means stop. You did not stop. You received a ticket. You are guilty. How much clearer can it get?

Check with the clerk of court to see if you are eligible for traffic school or a deferment. Some states accept online traffic school. Here is a link for more information:
ONLINE TRAFFIC SCHOOL

The question is: at that time was yellow light, and at that time the road was very slipply(ice on the road, i have the evidence), i thought that satisfy "unless the stop can not be made in safty".

The question is: If the cop deny that was a yellow light, insist that is a red light(cop will say "see the ticket I wrote that, the code is a mistake"), but my defence is based on the yellow light situation, it will become I lie in the court. Will the judge believe me?

That is impossible to me to find the evidence said is yellow but not red?
