How to file damages against an estate?

As a small child, I endured many injustices and horrible things, charges were filed, but never came to fruition for reasons unknown to me. Now, the man is dead and I would like to file for damages against his estate. I think if an attorney would work with me, the facts can be proven. I would appreciate help and advice on how to proceed.

Sounds like you already know the first step: talk to an attorney. I imagine the first thing you will want to check out is whether your claim is barred by the statute of limitations in your jurisdiction.
