Drug Crimes, Substance Abuse How to get a warrant withdrawn if released in one state but being held by another

My nephew was arrested in Fort Lauderdale Florida on drug charges but released 35 days ago on ROR , but is still in custody in Fort Lauderdale because he had warrants in Charlotte NC . He has a hold on him from Charlotte NC , he had a 25 day sentence in Charlotte to serve and signed the extradition papers . Per Charlotte DA office they will not lift the hold until he clears up his issues in Fort Lauderdale ..meaning he could sit there for years ! Can An attorney go back to court for him in NC and the warrant be withdrawn there ?

I'm sure that an attorney would be able to get the situation straightened out properly.

All your nephew needs to do is get an attorney.

Considering his penchant for criminal activity, especially drug related, I suggest you not lift a finger to help him and not contribute any money either.
