How to get my money back from car dealership

I went into a car dealership the salesperson let me test drive a 2013 Nissan Versa, when we came back I filled the application. He comes back with the finance manager, and the finance manager told me that I would need put $3000.00, I told him that I don't have that much. The finance manager asked how much I had on me I til him $600.00, he said let me see the money because if his boss see's money he can make it work. I'm sitting there for one hour and he comes back and tells me he has a better offer it was a trade in that just came in. It's a 2008 Nissan, when I looked at, it was so filthy and he said just yes drive it. I drove it around the block and I'm telling the salesperson can't you feel it not shifting right and he ignored me and I also told him I was interested in this car. When we get back to the dealership he tells the finance manager, and I til both of them that I didn't want that car. They both go in the back, the finance manger comes back an hour and half and hands ne a receipt and tells me to go to the finance department. Again I told him that I didn't want that car just give me my money. He left me standing there shocked and frustrated. I went and til the finance department i didn't purchase this car, she hands me the sticker. I parked there car in the lot and left cause it was already 8:30. I went back the next day in the morning to talk to someone about this they took the keys and told me that they sold the car, and they will see if there is another vehicle for me. Apparently they don't have anything for me and tells me to come back Monday, when me and my dad show up there, 3 of there men started yelling at us and told us that the check is in the mail and kicked us out of the dealership. It's been three weeks now and haven't received my money. I don't have a car from them all I have is a receipt for a car that I don't have.

Tell them if you have not received the refund check by next Wednesday, you are just going to call the states attorney general and the Motor Vehicle Enforcement Division at 801-297-2600 to file complaints, then you will file against the dealership in small claims court.

I suggest also sending a letter personal and confidential to the Dealer Principal. He/she may have no idea what's going on.
