Hello,

Thanks in advance for anyone's help. I own an online business, and I'm about to enter into a business relationship with a supplier in New York. What kind of contract/legal document would I need to protect myself in the case that I receive stolen or fake goods, and how would I go about obtaining such a document?

Thanks so much!

If the business is important to you, you'll retain an attorney to draft a contract between the parties. There will be negotiations by the other party's attorney. Until an agreement is reached. Don't try to do this on the cheap. If you aren't financially able to hire an attorney, maybe you aren't ready to pursue this as a business?

Hello,

Thanks for your reply. So this would simply be something to address in a contract? Would a new contract be needed for every order, or is there a type of agreement we could draw up beforehand? Sorry, I don't know much about law. :)

Thanks!
