How to sell a business?

I have a Hair Salon business and I am an LLC. I do not own the building and have a month to month contract. I am planning on moving in the next couple of years and will need to sell the business if my daughter does not choose to take on the responsibility. Do I need to have a lawyer to do this? What are my responsibilities. Can I open another buisness under the same LLC?

You can sell the business, if someone wishes to buy.
You don't own a building, but you do have clientele and goodwill.
That's what might be of value to a prospective purchaser.
I suggest you discuss the sale with an attorney.
Selling a business has many moving parts, especially the tax ramifications of such a sale.
