How do I stop my neighbor from lying to my landlord and the HOA about music being played too loud? We had a friendship at one time which I ended. Since that time she has caused me much grief. I haven't played music for over 6 months and even do not own any form of a music player. I am getting letters indicating I am a problem form the HOA. My landlord is carbon copied as well. She has waited for my landlord outside and personally complained to my landlord, which resulted in a call from my stressed out landlord. The HOA has threaten to fine my landlord. Please Help this has cause me much anxiety and depression. My rent is very low and I can not afford to move. I thought about taking my neighbor to small claims court for harassment. The problem would be that how do I prove that I am not playing music.
