We had a trampoline in our yard when Hurricane earl hit in our region in Canada and the wind blew the trampoline out of our yard and onto someone's property and damaged their car.

My question is am I responsible for the repairs to the car or does their car insurance have to cover the damage?

Thanks

Generally, in the US you'd be responsible.
But, you reside in Canada.
You should inquire of a local attorney.

What happens here is the victim files a claim with their insurance.
The insurance company subrogates against you, the owner of the property.
You as a homeowner would them file a claim against your homeowners policy. In fact, I'd recommend you do that now to be proactive and avoid any nastiness or ill will!
