Hello,

I am seeking advice on how to get a divorce without my husband. My husband has been running fo rnearly eight years. Everytime I find him he moves. I have filed the petition for divorce about two weeks ago. I sent the waiver notification and it was returned to me, undeliverable. I read on lawhelp that I could use that returned letter and do a public notification as proof that I have notified him. Is this true? How can I get a divorce from him without his cooperation?

Had you NOT tried to find this bum, you could have possibly had this deadbeat declared, DEAD.

But, you've been chasing this evil ghost for eight years, so you know him to be alive.

I suggest you save yourself some trouble, spend a few bucks, and hire a lawyer. The right lawyer can turn thus bad memory into a pleasant awakening quickly.

If you are bound to do this yourself, Google "Texas absent spouse or abandonment of the marriage".

You'll get your eyes opened and your mind, too.

Because this snake has absented himself from the marital home, he's made it easy for you to file under the abandonment provisions. This eliminates the need to do some of the service requirements as diligently as if you knew his whereabouts.

This is almost a slam dunk for you, madam.
