I have a question, I am being sued by my daughter's cheerleading academy for non payment, when I received the paper from the judge, it said that I have 10 days to contest it. I know that I owe for the months that she went but I dont think I should pay for the month that she wasn't there but once and they hurt her that evening, they dropped her from a stunt and she was too scared to go back!, They are also charging me for a skirt 3 times and makeup 3times, and a used uniform that cost more than a whole outfit!, I know because I have my own cheerleading company! They are also charging me a fee for a contract breakage, which I dont think I ever signed anything like that, they are also charging me a drop out fee, a fee for mailing me a bill which I never received, and other dispute charges. What can I do? Should I contest it and go infront of a jury or should I just pay them the $450.00? I have to pay for court cost and fee's as well, I have no money right now! I am having trouble paying my other bills. Will they let me pay it over time or all at once if I go that way? I know that I owe them on part of that stuff, but not all of that!!! not only that but I feel that I shouldn't have to pay a for a broken contract and drop out fee, since I wrote them a letter explaining that my daughter was too scared to go back and the doctor had told me not to send her back there, because if they are that careless, they could of injured her spine, and she still could have back problems later down the road!!! She isn't scared of my teachings because I do not leave a stunt to go answer a telephone call! Can you please advise me what to do?
