I bought a new SUV from a car dealership in Naperville, IL. I was supposed to get discounts ($5000) based on active promotions at the time. I did not notice that they failed to apply the discounts. Do I have any recourse to get the money now? It has been a few years. I discovered this issue while figuring out another issue with pre-paid service with the same dealer.
I haven't approached the dealership with my findings. I have the emails stating the active discounts from the salesman. The discounts were expiring that day so I bought the car on the same day. No discounts were applied. I recall we had to eat for almost 2 hours for the paperwork to be ready and it got pretty late by the time we signed the contract. Unfortunately, didn't notice the missing discounts until now.

Ask the dealer.
No one but the dealer can say what that dealer will or will not agree to do.

No.

You didn't bother to read what you signed.

You're stuck with the contract the way it's written.

I can guarantee you that the dealer is not going to give you the time of day.

Next time you buy a car from a dealer read every damned word of the paperwork before you sign it and make sure everything you talked about getting is actually in the contract even if they have to tear it up and start all over.
