Hello!I really have a big problem.....I'm a student last year at the university...I have been 3 times in the usa for the summer on WAT programs. My visa status was J1,my first time was 2008,thrn 2010 and then this year.I did shoplifting on 30th of July at some of the mall in the town where i was......The ammount was 30$,they caught me,called the police and arrested me...i was in jail for 3 hours then paid the fine of 800$ and they let me go...The police officers explained to me that if i pay the fine of 800$ i'm not supposed to come to court on the other day,if i do not pay,i have to stay in the jail for the night and the other day go to the court and pay 400$ fine.....They gave me uniform traffic ticket and it was written VIOLATION-COURT APPEARANCE REQUIRED-NO What does it mean? My court date was 08.04.2011....i never came back there...i paid the fine and was wondering to go to the court or no....my friends told me that i'm tnot supposed .....i dont know if i did right not to come back :((( Right now i'm in my country-Bulgaria.......i wanna come back to the usa again next summer, but dont know if i will have problems with getting my visa and if there is any chance to get one? I'm scared.....I wanna apply again with WAT program, but while filling in the documents for applying for a visa, they ask if you have ever been in jail?Do i have to tell the truth or no???Cause at the police office that day they took a picture of me and took all my fingerprints......I'm scared...i do really regret for my behaviour.....I dont know if i did wrong not to go to the court.I really want to be back to the usa. That's the country of my dreams but i did really the biggest mistake of my life....that was my first and last time. Please aswer my questions :((( Thank you very much!

Based on your description you have admitted guilt and now likely have a criminal record. You could be denied entry into this country as result. Talk to your Lawyer about this and how to resolve it

You will very likely need one as your status to reeneter this country is at risk. Start calling Attorneys talk to them so they can research your case and status. In mean time follow other instructions given
