I was raised by my grandparents, and when my grandfather died, I was placed in a foster home, and became a ward of the state. My grandfather had some bonds for me and I guess the Department of Children and Family Services got them and has been watching them. I am legally entitled to them at 18, but they don't want to give me the bonds without cashing them. They aren't telling me how much the bonds will be when they are mature, but they told me the bonds aren't mature yet. They just want to cash them for the value they are at now like 6000$? I don't know if I should keep them from cashing the bonds or if there is a way for me to get more information?

On top of that, I was supposed to get a percentage of the selling price of the house. The amount is around 23,000$. My aunt has been making up reasons why not to distribute the money for almost a year. None of my relatives got their share of money yet, either. My aunt was using my age as an excuse before but i'm 18 now and she still isn't doing anything. My guardian at litem never talks to me and he hasn't done anything to help

Today my case worker came out to my house and I guess the government signed me up for SSI without telling me or my foster parent under a diagnosis I didn't know I had. The amount I have been unknowingly been getting for the past two years is going to DCFS to pay for my room and board, but there was still around 200$ left over every month which is missing now. I refused to sign the papers to continue the SSI because I was never diagnosed with anything

Do you guys have any advice? I've really been stressing out over this! thank you so much if you can help

my mom was single. she has schizophrenia and I haven't seen her in 5 years. I never met my father and I don't know where he is

Are you living in a group home?

Have you been diagnosed with any mental deformity of defect?

Do you have any juvenile court issues?

Is your guardian ad litem an attorney?

Do you have any history of drug abuse or illegal drug use?

You have left out some very important information.

That information is required to properly answer you.

No one gets SSI, without a valid reason.
You know that reason, so tell us.
If you don't, I can't answer.

I honestly don't know why I would be getting SSI. It might be social security because my parent died. I'm not sure how the system works
