I initiated a $500 online purchase and requested a refund but have received no cooperation - I live in TX, the seller lives in Maine, DOES ANYONE KNOW if I can sue him in a small claims court in TX? This is a very petty issue and If i contact a lawyer it will cost money, but I don't know where else to turn.

How did you make the purchase?
Credit card? Pay Pal?

If so, you might be able to get the card company or Pay Pal to reverse the charges.

As for court- I believe you have to file where the purchase was made, which would be Maine. You can probably do so by mail.

You can file by mail but you will have to attend the hearing. You must file in the jurisdiction of the Defendant or where the transaction occurred (Maine).
