I need a advice

I live in a 3 bedroom apt. recently my friends bought me a puppy for my birthday which was nice. The problem is that the landlord says that in the lease it specifically states that animals arent allowed in the apt. I went over the lease and there is no where in any pharagraphs that it physically states that i am not allowed to have a pet. I was told this about 3 weeks ago. I was planing on moving to Arizona after January, but my clases at school start in January and she wrote on that letter that i have to remove the puppy from the apartmant no later than February 1st. Of course i havent signed anything yet. Can someone please tell me what to do. This pup means a lot to me and i dont want to have to get rid of it!!!!! PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!

The lease does not have to specifically state no animals are allowed. If you have one, or you plan on getting one, it is up to you to make sure the landlord allows it before you get it. She does not have to allow the dog.

Your best bet is to comply with what the landlord is saying. Can you have somebody watch the puppy until your lease is up?
