me and my boyfriend own a very sweet lab. he does really well around our friends and their children. we recently got a older roommate. when we first met her things were good. she seemed very nice but the day she moved in we kept the dog in our room so that they can move the stuff in and out without having to close the door. when i got home from work (my boyfriend was home but outside) i put him on his leash and brought him out. he did well with everyone coming in and out. he let everyone pet him. he was very "happy go lucky." i took him on his walk and brought him home. the people were getting ready to leave so i took him inside to feed him and i went back out to see if my boyfriend needed anything. the lady walked into the house and a minute later i heard her yell my name. i ran inside she said my dog attacked her. i didn't know what to think or what to do. she lifted up her shirt and there was a little mark about the size of a pea. i asked what happened she said she walked in thinking i was inside and the dog looked up at her and growled. she talked said hi to him and try to talk to him at the same time she took a step towards him. i didn't hear the dog bark. i don't know what to do the dog is like my kid. p.s. i'm not even sure if i'm posting on or the right thread.

You have not indicated what the roommate's intentions are. Is she claiming damages? All breeds of dogs can be unpredictable. It is conceivable that the dog accidently "tagged" her with a tooth while playfully jumping on her. She may not be a dog person and thus thought the dog was being aggressive.

You don't know what exactly happened since you weren't there. Did she get a doctor's report? Did she file a police report? If yes, you may have a problem. If no, then don't sweat it.

Regardless, give this roommate a 3 day eviction notice. With her around you are only going to have more problems.

from what i was told she wants to rent the room for three months. she says she a dog person and that she has had them before. she didn't do a doctors report or a police report that we know of. me my boyfriend and his parents have been being as nice as we can be. i want her out but she doesn't want to leave she says she is happy here and likes us a lot. also we are afraid of her suing us so we doing want to tell her to leave yet. i'm trying to do my research and get everything lined up to show the parents. (we are renting the house from them) so that my dog can have his house back.
