I owe money to a business that closed down

I have been paying a debt for services rendered by a maintenance facility. A few months ago, the maintenance facility went out of business. I have not been contacted regarding my debt. Do I still have to pay on my debt? If the debt is transfered to someone else (or a bank), how can I confirm that I am paying the right person (or bank)?

Thanks - I wish I could take your advice, but in this case, it is something that I will have to deal with in the next couple of weeks. I just want to go in to the conversation armed with some knowledge. Do I still owe the debt? If the debt as been bought out by a 3rd party, how do I verify that?
