I rent but dont' have a lease and the house is in forclosure do I have to pay rent?

I live in a house that is split into three apartments. The landlord hasn't paid his mortgage since January and the legal papers have been coming to the house. He isn't going to try and work out a deal with the bank he's just letting it go. But since I don't have a lease and he's not paying his mortgage do I have to pay my rent? I have to move so how can i save money to move if I am still paying $900 in rent? My neighbors before they left last month they told him they were only paying $300 for the utilities and that's it. He was fine with that but is hounding me for the full rent?! What should I do?

Yes and you continue to do so until you are notified on who the new owner is

If you stop paying your rent he can evict you up until the day he loses the property. However, they will probably evict you anyway. Jacksgal is right that you owe the rent, and he could sue you for it if you do not pay it. You make your own choice what to do.
