Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft I shoplifted and I don't know what to do!

So I went this store in the mall 4 days ago and shoplifted something worth $30. When the guy caught me he said that he would have to call security and he surgested that I leave the mall. What will the sucurity do? Can I go back to that store because he never said I couldn't? And what happens if I go back and he sees me. What will he do/say?

Security isnt likely to do anything since Store let you go. No one banned you so they cant tresspass you either. Now if you do return they can ask you to leave. If they do arrest you and try to charge you for the theft you have a good arguement on why they did not do that when you were caught. Legally your probably safe. I woud avoid this Mall for bit thugh otherwise your likely to get some unwanted attention and possibly be asked to leave

You miss point. I am not guaranteeing anything. Did the store security tell you not to return to store? If so then stay away. If not then yes you should be able to return. However if you are seen and recalled as thief they can legally ask you to leave
