And you are compounding the mistake by not notifying them of the error.

Yes, they can sue you for the return of the money. Taking money you know you are not due and did not earn, regardless of whose mistake it is, is called stealing in many circles.

I will notify them, but its been 3 extra checks that I received.

Can they press charges is what I am really asking.
