I want my money back.....do I have a chance?

A former friend of mine used my credit cards, we went shopping and she promised to pay me back . She took the receipts and everything, when I asked her where's the money, she comes up with excuses. She sent me a few text messages saying how sorry she was and that she will pay me back after she paid her rent. It has been over a yr now and I 'm tired of waiting. I want to take her to small claims court , the only evidence I have are the text messages and my credit card statements. What are my chances ??

Well; like many of these cases, it's often a matter of "he said, she said" and who the judge believes.

To your credit, you do seem to have text messages from her acknowledging that she owes you this money; that's far more than many people have who loan friends their credit cards and end up kicking themselves for doing that.
