I am 18 and I was caught stealing from the gas station I work at. They have me on camera and I was imedeatly fired. They told me they were going to notify the police. I would like to know what might happen, and if I'm going to be sent to prison at all.

"Probably not" but without more details there is no way we can say for sure. If you are arrested, you will want to get a lawyer.

If the police approach and arrest you, cooperate. But, do not admit to anything. Simply say, "I wish to invoke my right to remain silent, and I want a lawyer."
Then say nothing about that incident. Its okay to give your name, date of n=birth, address, etc... But, do not admit or deny anything about anything, simply keep saying, "I am invoking my right to remain silent, and want a lawyer." They'll play a few tricks, whenever the subject of any crime comes up, say it: "I wish to invoke my right to remain silent, and I want a lawyer."

I can't guarantee you you won't feel some pain, but if you admit, I can guarantee you will feel much pain!

Lawyer up, and shut up.

A worst case scenario for you does not likely involve prison or jail time.
As above, do not make any statement to police without a lawyer.
It is very possible your employer will not even pursue any action after firing you.

Depending on how much money you stole and any prior record prison is unlikely. As instructed if contacted by Police make no statements other than acknowledging your name and address. Then contact a lawyer to discuss your defense plans
