On June 29th, 2012, I was taken into office because of a situation with a $5.00 dollar bill being missing. I had explained to the Loss Prevention that I had ripped it abd placed it in my pocket so i could tape it and place it back in bag. But I had forgot about it and took it home. When I found it i took it back to the store and told them it was in my pocket. They then started taunting me about other missing money. I told them that I had not taken anything. This continued for almost 3 hrs, I then told them I had had enough of the harrasement from the store manager. And I walked out. Now it has been a week almost and when I looked on my direct deposit for my pay they only gave me 30 some dollars. What can i do?

They are only required to pay you for the time you actually worked. If there is pay owed you for time that you worked, which would normally have been on that paycheck, you can file a complaint for unpaid wages with the state of Missouri DOL. They are not obligated to pay you for any time since you walked out.

You actually did take something. At very least you took $5.00 which is prosecuteable. Does the $30.00 cover all hours worked? Does the direct deposit cover entire time frame from last check? In other words what is time window of this payment? is there additional time owed on next check? Too many unanswered questions for real answer.
