I was rightfully fired however...

Thank you for looking in advance.


To make a long story short. I work for Social Service Coordinators, its a call center. I was put on probation from july 22 to august 22. I succesfully made it. I was not late maybe but 2 times for an emergency and both times I reported the issue and used my PERSONAL TIME OFF.

Yesterday i was caught sending an email to someone outside the company from my computer. Thats violation of company policy so I was terminated which I know is fair. However the termination paper that I signed said that I was let go for using the email and that I was put on probation or 30 days and showed no improvement.

I was fired 8/25...my probation ended 8/22.. if i showed no improvement why hadnt i been fired??

Unfortunately I was extremely filled with emotion an signed the paper.
Once i was in my car i read the paper and it realized what it said.

I went to the Human Resources and explained that I wanted that taken off because it wasnt right and her reply was no you already signed the other paper.

is that even right? PLEASE HELP ME


The supervisor we have is extremely condenscending, rude, and treated us all like we were 5, always talking down to us.


To make things worst..... my spouse also works there. 20mins after i left the office she calls me and says that she was put on probation for having emails with me.
Mind, she is ALWAYS on time, never late. Follows every single rule down to the T.
She has never had a first warning, verbal or written and this supervisor went to HR and got the probation approved.
The supervisor and the head of HR and close friends as you see.
By the way the email i was writing when i got caught was not to my spouse.

This is quite honestly in my space of mind ridiculous.



Idk I am very sad and upset and some advice would really help right now.
I am not trying to sue the company, I just would like that they rewrite my terminination paper. If possible see to it that my spouse's probation is rendered wrong.

Perhaps they were planning on firing you and just had not done so yet.

The termination report is solely for the use of the company and evidently they felt you had not improved after the 30 days of probation. You are understandably upset, yet you shouldn't worry about the termination paper. The most the company would release to potential new employers is whether or not your are re-hirable. The details regarding your firing would most likely be confidential.

I feel better in the end Florida is an at will employment state anyway.

I've applied for unemployment hopefully I willl be entitled to it.
Though I know nothing could be done I am starting to feel as if it were a personnal vendetta from my supervisor.

See she was new, maybe three months.
As I stated my spouse works there.

When I was put on probation July 22 she also went and got it approved that I was put on it without any type of previous warning.

2 days after I was fired an employee who she has much favoritism for, is caught by her texting on his cell phone. He was given a written warning. Gets caught again, is now given probation for that.

About 4 days ago he is put on probation for being late too many times.
Yesterday he doesnt show up to work, doesnt call. Hes at work today like nothing ever happened.
This person doesnt have any Personal Time Off.

I know this might sound jealous or what not but I honestly just feel is not fair.
He's on two types of probation.
I was given no warnings and fired right away after SUCCESSFULLY completing my first probation.

I would understand if it were a production matter but I am a hard working employee and my daily goals were always met.
