I was wrongfully accused of theft and terminated!

My jurisdiction is: North Carolina, USA

I was accused for stealing money from our store register but I am completely innocent and my employer has no proof or evidence that I am responsible. There are no cameras or any type of security system in the store. I followed procedure the night before I received notice that $100 was taken from the register/deposit envelope and all of my numbers were correct and all of the money was secure. There are multiple employees who have a key to the store and could easily walk in unoticed and take whatever they want. Again, there are NO CAMERAS. I am concinved that is the case. This has happened once before when I was working there, only it was a different employee and she was NOT terminated. When my employer told me that I was fired I asked her whatever happened to the other employee that had money missing from her register and my employer LIED and said that it was "probably" due to "free play" (Internet Gambling Facility), but I know for a fact that at the time the money went missing from the other employees register we were not offering "free play." Also, when my employer was accusing and humiliating me there was another employee present along with a customer. I was so embarrased, I broke out into tears. I gave my employer multiple possibilities as to what could have happened and all she could say was, "I don't think so." I told her that I would never do anything to jeopordize my job and pleaded with her to please look further into this, but she would not. I also told her that if I could keep my job I would allow her to take $100.00 out of my next check only if she agreed to immediately install a security system/cameras and a locked security deposit box that she would only have the key to. I told her that if this has happened atleast twice already then the chances of this happening again are very high and I can't afford to pay the store money that Im not responsible for. She denied everything I was willing to do in order to keep my job. I do not know why this happened to me but I would like to know if there's anything I can do legally and if I can draw unemployment if I only worked there for 2 months.
