This is my first time getting caught and now that i have i will never do this again. Not just because i got caught and are now in trouble, but because now that i got caught, it made me want to research the effects that shoplifting does to honest people, which i had no idea about before i got caught. For this, i would like to apologize to all of you honest people out there. But my real question is, if i got caught shoplifting for the first time ever, and i know that i have shoplifted at that store before, can the the retail store look at past footage to see if i have ever stole from them before, and if they can, will they bring it up in court, or are they only allowed to prosecute me for the original charges? And IF THEY DO BRING UP THAT EVIDENCE, CAN THEY USE THAT AGAINST ME TO WORSEN MY PUNISHMENT? IS SOMETHING LIKE THEM EVEN SHOWING UP TO MY COURT DATE EVEN LIKELY? And also, are the store managers likely to show up at the court hearing, or is it so petty that they dont really care because it happens to them often?
