If you pay the fine is a misdemeanor charge still on your record? I was arrested for a possesion of marijuana a couple of weeks ago, but it was only for a small amount. I was placed in holding and then released, and I don't want this to be on my record. I just turned 23 and I don't know how I'm going to find a job now.

I know it was a stupid thing to do, but there's nothing I can do to go back and change it, so please I need help, without any added stress from people telling me how stupid I am. There's no need to tell me, I already know.

Ay misdemeanor conviction "will" be on your record unless some other arrangement was made.

Did you pay an amount to be released, or was it P.R.?

You need to add more details. Did you actually plead guilty at any time? The penalties for Marijuana possession vary by a HUGE amount around the country, and even from county to county.
