Hello everyone.

I'm from California, just found this forum and hopefully someone can me. My parents bought a timeshare about 6 months ago under our family company. I run the company and have been getting multiple bills from the timeshare. Apparently my parents were given false information and bought a timeshare in Cancun without reading all the fine print.

My aunt, my dad's sister, is a lawyer and actually advised him to ignore the bills for the timeshare company will not press charges or a lawsuit since they are in Mexico. Law degree or not, I cannot imagine that this would be ok. The timeshare companys name is Omni Cancun. Though the main company is in Mexico, their bill-to address is Florida. My parents of course will not listen to me since my aunt advised them to disregard all letters. I would truly appreciate it if someone could please let me know. Thank you!
