Alcohol & Drugs: MIP, MIC, Intoxication Illigal Consumption in Illinois

Last month I recieved an Illigal Consumption along with six of my friends. We were on my private property inside of my house when the police showed up on a underage drinking complaint. My question is: since we were on private property do they have right to come on to my land and search us out? Also, because it was my house are the police able to give me an illigal consumption if my parentals are allowing me to partake in this activity in the safetly of our own home?

It was a cabin on a lake with windows all around it so it was easily visable from the outside. I did not let them in at first but then it started raining extreamly hard so i allowed them to come inside to finish writing our tickets.
