34 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER ON TRIAL FOR MISDEMEANOR ASSAULT
SHES MENTALLY DISABLED UNDER PSYCIATRIC CARE
SHE ATTENDED COURT ARRAINMENT
SHE MISSED NEXT COURT DATE BECAUSE SHE WAS IN MENTAL HOSPITAL
SHE LATER ATTENDED COURT AND NEW COURT DATE ASSIGNED

SHE PROVIDED HER COURT APPOINTED ATTY WITH LETTER#1 OUTLING HER CASE
2ND LETTER AND SUPPORTING MEDICAL RECORDS SHOWING REASONS FOR MISSING COURT

wHILE IN COURT SHE OVERHEARD HER ATTY MAKING PERSONAL AND DERAGATORY REMARKS ABOUT HER TO DA. HE SHOWED DA HER LETTER AND THEY BOTH
HAD A BIG LAUGH.SHE BELIEVES HER ATTY IS HER OPPONENT RATHER THAN HER PROPONENT.HE HAS DONE LITTLE TO SUPPORT HER CASE.
HE TRIED TO THROW HER UNDER THE BUS BY TELLING HER TO ACCEPT 1 YEAR SENTENCE.
WHAT ABOUT CLIENT ATTY PRIVILEDGE?THE LTR HE SHOWED DA WAS ADDRESSED TO HER ATTY
HE HAS PREJUDICED THE DA WITH HIS PERSONAL FEELINGS
CANT UNRING BELL
WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND WE DO?
SHOULD WE SEND A LETTER TO THE JUDGE EXPLAINING THE SITUATION AND ASKING BOTH TO RECUSE THEMSELVES?WHO DO WE GO TO FOR HELP?

Please don't post in all capital letters.

Sometimes a plea bargain is the best outcome. Why is that "throwing her under the bus"?

Privilege can be waived, either through the actions of the party or through their attorney. It's not sacred. Perhaps he thought it would help her get a good deal.

I recommend you talk to the attorney first and ask him to explain his actions. Maybe there's a good reason for what he did.
If you don't think so, go get a new lawyer. Frankly I don't see that he's done anything necessarily wrong, and I doubt even if he did it would have drastic results on the case. The attorney wouldn't recuse himself - you would just fire him. The DA, I can't see why they would recuse themself either. They're entitled to receive communications from other counsel.
