Background: No priors, have worked for the same private company for several years. Being accused of stealing up to $4500 from the company. They're reviewing tapes, etc to find proof, and I've admitted nothing. What is the most likely outcome from this?

Police have not yet been involved.

Now, rethink helping others put that noose around your neck, by supplying the rope.

Just in case the police do come knocking.

Less, in your case, NOTHING is more.

They likely won't need to find evidence to fire you.
You might do yourself a favor and start looking for new employment now just in case. If they are suspicious of you then you may find yourself without a job.
As above, if the police do come knocking don't tell them anything more than your name, rank and serial number.

Most surely/likely you will be terminated. You need to look for other employment. If you are terminated, you can file for unemployment ins. but there is a good chance you will not receive it (state's decision though).

If you are contacted by the police, keep quiet & get a lawyer.
