In May, I paid $1000. membership fee to National Grants Conferences. The sales agreement states that the buyer may cancel within three business days. It then says to see cancellation notice on reverse side for explanation of this right. The first line under the letterhead on the reverse is a blank in which the company's representative is to fill in the transaction date. The next line reads,"You may cancel without any penalty or obligation, within 3 business days from the above date." The date was not filled in by the rep.
Is this a "technical" error that would legally allow me a refund? (Or do I have to pursue bait & switch & failure to provide services promised via the BBB? I've experienced both since joining!)

The date is only filled in when the cancellation takes place. The technicality does not apply here...
