My house (double-wide mobile home) is in my parents's name. My husband and I make the payments on it each month. His job is relocating and we can not take the house with us. If we let the house "go back," can anything legally happen to my husband and myself?

You could have a bad credit report for many years.

Yes, but the house is in my parents' names. We no longer talk to eachother after I found out that they were abusing my son while he was in their care (while I was working). We don't own the land, nor do they. The house just sits here. We contacted them and told them that they needed to put it on the market and maybe someone could purchase the home and have it moved (since it is a mobile home). We have not had any response back from my parents in this matter. So, if the house gets, I guess, forclosed on, would anything legally happen to my husband and myself? Could my parents take us to court or anything? Thanks for your help and God Bless!

A: I don't know what will happen in the future. But anyone may sue anybody for anything at any time anywhere.
