Hello I am looking for some advice on wills and inheritance statutes. I think I have an unusual case, and do not know where to go for help or even if I have a valid claim.
My father had passed away in August of 2006; however, I was never officially notified of his death until February 2007 through gossip from an Aunt. We both thought he had recently died, even that past weekend when I had received the information. I googled it, and found his obituary stating the date of his death.
I was never on good terms w/ my Step-mother, however, I had called her and asked why I was not notified. She stated that she had notified my sister-- but again I was never notified from my sister.
Is there anyway to find out if I was included in the will?She did send me pictures from my childhood- and that's about it.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
