Inheritance

My husband and I are Texas residents. He is currently incarcerated, and just recently lost his father. He and I are legally married, but dont keep much contact anymore. His father had an estate that was left for him and other siblings. My husband signed power of attorney to his sister for his portion of the inheritance until he comes home. Is this legal, and am I entitled to any of these funds?

Probably not. Inheritance is not usually subject to marital distribution, unless co-mingled with community property. Doesn't sound like its mingled at all.
