Inheritance

Well, my nan died about 5 years ago now, and she left everybody a sum of money as inheritance, and she left me, my sister and brother 14,000 pounds each, since i was only about 10 at the time, my mum had to put it in a trust for when im 18... But she had alot of arguments with the bank and they were trying to take it, so she took it out, and i don't know what happened but 2,000 pounds of it got lost.
I've been asking her for about a year now to put it into a savings fund bank or something like that, in my name, that i can't access untill i'm 18. But she keeps refusing to, it's all in her name in two seperate banks, and seeings as she does have debts, they can be accessed to by collectors and people. She says she's going to soon, but never does. I wanna know where i stand with this as i'm only 14, and what i can do to put it in a safe savings bank so i could earn some interest to what i lost on it. Thankyou.

I suspect your mother is spending your inheritance.

There is little or anything you can do about her treachery.

You have no standing.

You'll be legally disabled until you're 18. By that time, your money will be all gone.

Why not try and have a serious talk with mom about your money? At least that will confirm or deny her intentions and actions.

Why not ask her to go today to deposit the funds? I suspect the funds have all been pilfered.

You might try talking with another relative (aunt, uncle, cousin, etc) that your mother respects?
