I own a small handcrafting business--creating party décor such as banners. I do not use Trademarked images, however I am contacted about them. Is it okay/legal if I make a banner that would coordinate with a party that was based of a trademarked character...let's say Mickey Mouse? Often what happens is that the customer would use it along with other items that clearly make it a "Mickey Mouse Party" and with social media (FB..Blogs) being used...they sometimes will want to give me "credit" by saying..Hey..I had a mickey mouse party and thanks to (Insert business name)....they made this Terrific banner/décor to coordinate. For instance for such party..i would probably use polka dots in the color of black/red/yellow...If I were to post it on lets say my blog/website..I'm guessing I would not be able to reference Disney in anyway or use photos that a customer gives me of their party and it looks like a "mickey mouse" party?
